Surrounding Area

"We look forward to seeing you again and enjoying your accommodation and the lovely Devon countryside."

Mrs MG - Warwickshire

The Coach House Farm is surrounded by the National Trust Killerton estate and within reasonable walking distance of Killerton house and gardens. Other National Trust properties nearby include Knightshayes Court near Tiverton and A la Ronde near Exmouth.

If you enjoy walking, there are many routes available including a footpath that can be joined from opposite the entrance to The Coach House and runs between Politmore, the village of Broadclyst and Killerton, covering much of the Killerton estate. Also within the estate is Ashclyst Forest, an ideal dog-walking spot. Further afield the South West Coast Path, runs from Dorset along Devon’s southern coastline into Cornwall and back along the North Devon coast to Exmoor.

Catch the tram to Seaton along the Heritage Coast in East Devon, or enjoy spectacular views across Dartmoor.

The Heritage Coast.

The Heritage Coast in East Devon incorporates the picturesque fishing villages of Seaton and Beer and Sidmouth, a regency town with shopping, dining, formal gardens and where even fish & chips on the beach seems a sophisticated affair. Watch the fishing boats go out and buy fresh fish straight from the catch or have a cream tea in the gardens with spectacular views of the sheer red cliffs and green headland.

"Many thanks once again for a wonderful stay. The children had an absolutely joyous time playing in the gardens."

Mrs LS - London

Much of Devon is soon reached from The Coach House Farm, with Exeter and East Devon on the doorstep and the A38 for South Devon, Torbay and Plymouth and the A30 for Dartmoor, West and North Devon easily accessed.
