Devon Open Studios
5th – 20th September
Meet local artists and craftspeople in their studios for a great opportunity to buy unique items straight from their creators, see demonstrations and even have a go yourself.
Everything from ceramics to digital printwork and steel work to watercolours will be on display in locations throughout Devon. East Devon exhibitors range from painters in Salcombe Regis to textile artists in Exmouth to jewellers in Newton Poppleford.

Heritage Open Days Exeter
10th – 13th September
An opportunity to visit some of the city’s hidden architectural treasures for free. Some properties and attractions opening their doors usually charge and entry fee whilst others are not open to the public at all. Options include Exeter Library’s special collections, the beautiful Guildhall, a tour of the livestock market, and Poltimore House (a short drive from The Coach House Farm).

Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival
17th – 20th September
Featuring critically acclaimed authors as well as broadcasters, historians and comedians, this celebration of literature and storytelling is set to return to the Jurassic Coast town and will include talks from Dame Hilary Mantel DBE, the Honorary Festival President and Budleigh resident.
Sidmouth Classic Car Show & Family Day
Sidmouth’s cricket pavilion overlooking the sea will be host to a classic car show complete with jazz music and family entertainment.
